Tryouts

August 17–19
Time: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Notes:

  • Lunch break included
  • All freshmen are encouraged to attend
  • Freshmen selected for JV or Varsity are expected to attend all preseason activities
  • Some freshmen may be invited to preseason training even if not selected for JV or Varsity

  • Team size expected to be 15–18 players
  • Number of participants will determine whether cuts are necessary

Team Expectations and Rules

Varsity

  • Highly competitive environment
  • Playing time determined by:
    • Effort
    • Attitude
    • Ability
  • Daily attendance expected
  • Making the team does not guarantee playing time

Junior Varsity

  • Competitive but developmental
  • More balanced playing time
  • Focus on preparing athletes for varsity competition
  • Attendance at every practice expected
  • Players compete for positions and playing time
  • Daily attendance expected

Freshman Team

  • Playing time distributed as equally as possible
  • Athletes learn all volleyball skills
  • Same offensive and defensive systems as JV and Varsity
  • Daily attendance expected

Conestoga Girls Volleyball Booster Club

Purpose

The Booster Club provides events and activities that enhance the student-athlete experience both on and off the court.

How We Raise Money

The Booster Club does not collect dues.

A large portion of funding is raised directly through athlete fundraising efforts.
