PROGRAM DIRECTOR

HEAD VARSITY COACH

Alex Weaver returns to the boys program this year now as Program Director and Head Varsity Coach for the inaugural year of Varsity Boys Volleyball at Conestoga.  As a multisport athlete, he knows what it takes for both an athlete and a team to succeed. He played basketball and volleyball and was a 4-yr volleyball letter winner (12 total) Gateway High School, Monroeville, PA. He went on to play on the Penn State Men's Volleyball Team for 4 years and also participated in the NCAA Final 4 those years as well.

VARSITY ASSISTANT

Lea Coogan joined the Conestoga Volleyball program as the Assistant Varsity Coach for the girls team in August of 2025. She will now be assisting Coach Weaver for the boys first official season in March of 2026. Lea was a former member of the volleyball team who played as a setter all four years and graduated from Stoga in 2017. In the off season she played club volleyball with several teams for multiple years. She went on to complete her education in Florida and enjoyed playing beach volleyball with friends. Currently, she works as a Teacher’s Aide at Colonial School District. Her experience in education and as an alumnus will be a great addition to the Conestoga Volleyball program.

JV HEAD COACH

Alex will be returning to the Conestoga Volleyball program as the JV Head Coach for 2025.  Before graduating from Conestoga, Alex helped start the Boys Volleyball Team along with his classmates.  Alex then went on to play NCAA Division III Volleyball at Hood College as a middle and a setter.  Alex is excited to return as a coach while he pursues a degree in education.
